We did survive of course, and following a nice breakfast, we hit the dinghy to head for shore.

The dinghy, while safe in the seas, was at it's limit pushing through the waves. We made it under the "slow and steady", rowing mantra.

Monhegan notes: With everything coming in by boat, Monhegan does a good job of keeping a tidy island.

Islands are all unique. Monhegan has a certain culture of politics and living in general which is clearly visible everywhere. Trucks, of which there aren't many, are used to haul stuff from the landing to houses. Not everybody needs one, you hire one if you do.

Many fisherman on the island have one to get traps back and forth. There's no road on the island you could get out of 1st gear in your truck, they just crawl along slowly.

All the stuff here is waiting for it's next use.
