We headed for the nearest V shaped land area, with the V pointed toward the NW. That was a little notch between Burnt and Little Burnt island on the mainland.
There, after a rollicking sail, we basked in the absolute bliss of a motionless boat at anchor.
Monhegan notes: Mary Ann took this shot of the lifeboat at the lighthouse on top. The boat sums up the essence of Monhegan Island to me.
