Still like my 88 lb Delta
In Response To: oh no an anchor thread ()

We switched from the 60 lb CQR to the 88 lb Delta in 07 and have been very happy with it. Digs in straight, quickly and resets without problem. One of the things I like about it is that it's incredibly good in grass. We have never had a problem setting in grass. Never.

Tests show that Rocna style flukes may have a bit more holding power but from my understanding is they don't set in as many different bottoms as a Delta. What the Delta may do in extremely high winds is to slowly plow more than the Rocna. We sat in 40-50 knots and over a period of 12 hours it drug about 8 feet. It drug straight and very slowly in those high winds.

I'll take an anchor that will drag 8 feet overnight but will set in grass more than an anchor that drags less but has more difficulty setting in grass.

They also make a 55 lb.
