We have a Tayana 37. We sail Sea Cortez and west coast Mexico 6 months out of the year. The boat came with 35 CQR and a 44 Bruce, I thought it was a 33 at the time. I move to a 44 Delta the first season, I though it dragged 2 time for 10 feet. I move to the Delta 55 and have been happy, it seem to stay put. I am using 5/16 chain. It drags 2 to 5 feet when setting it.
FYI We anchor in 10 feet of water (Chain tie about 5ft above the water) with a 100 feet of chain in a blow with about 30 knots gust and swim the anchor the boat was picking up the chain all the way to the anchor in the gust. The anchor held.

I am not sure you can talk about anchor size without adding chain size to the question.

I agree size is importance.
