I don't have a tablet yet and keep looking at them. I will not need (??) one until early next year. I see 2 new ones coming out (MSI and Dell) before the end of this year and they both have, or can have, a windows 7 op system. That way I can use my OpenCPN with the charts I have. Not sure about other aspects like battery run time, but plan to keep an eye out.

- Yes, when Cruising outside the US, probably not worth it.
- Because the 3G version has built-in GPS for nav programs, the WiFi version requires a separate Blue-tooth GPS
