I stopped by a friend's boat shop in Freeport around lunchtime one day

He had just spent most of the morning on the phone trying to track down a specific small part for a customer's boat. He said to me "now how am I going to charge for that?" On a larger project the material mark-up might cover that time. It's difficult business justifying the costs for service work to a customer especially when you run into unanticipated problems.
