I was able to pull it off. I did a lot of hand grinding, hand fileing and fitting myself but in the end it was worth it. I used a guy in Dana Point who does all the SS work for the New Nordhavens. His father is one of the owners and imports the Nords. He wasn't cheap but worked with me. I'm sure you could find someone to do the same. I did most of the fitting and he just did the welding. Like I said, it took some doing but the result was worth the effort because I saved a ton of hours over the years of varnishing. I'll take polishing SS over 8 coats of varnish any day.
