Have you considered using something like Ipe decking lumber, Brian?

We're using it quite a bit in home construction and I'm seeing it on a lot of marina docks. It appears to be oily and rot resistant, like teak. Although it's fairly pricey it's no where near teak pricey. It also seems to be readily available in 5/4 thickness.
