right. I've looked at lot's of generators and pondered all the arguments about less amps in less wind over time as apposed to more amps in more wind for shorter durations. I have concluded that solar is better but you need the space. I have 350 watts ( I posted that I had 400 but I did the math again and realized it's only 350) and have no more room for more. Replacing the kiss is just for some way to add something extra. The kiss is the second best wind generator I've ever owned as far as power output is concerned. The best ever was my old "Red Wing" that was made by the owner of Down Wind Marine in San Diego in his back room. It was all SS and came in 5 parts that you had to assemble once you got into an anchorage. Then you would run it up on a halyard and watch out! It's 5 foot blade would be off and running before you could get the halyard tight. 25 amps was usual sitting in St Thomas and you had to leave a couple of lights on to keep the voltage regulated because there weren't any voltage regulators for wind and solar back then. I hated the thing one day and loved it the next. The down side was that when you got to an anchorage you always had the debate with yourself about how long you were going to stay and if it was worth spending the time to assemble and fly it. I suppose thing have changed for the better but the quest for the perfect wind generator continues!
