() I've given up the stationary VHF too. I had to refinish the bulkhead shown in the picture and now the boat has a hanger for the handheld in its stead (lower right). Of course I always have a phone aboard

- Makes sense. Some of the exchanges with the CG heard on VHF have bordered on disturbing.
