The amp is a bit of an oddball, a Canadian built Viewstar, the model was later picked up by B+W. It's powered by a pair of 3-500z's. In the rack from top to bottom are: An SP-600, National HRO-60, Johnson Viking I, some audio gear and a WWII vintage Army Signal Corp BC-779A which is the military version of the SP-200. The Valiant was heavily modified for good audio by my friend, Larry, NE1S. That transmitter paired with the HRO-60 receiver see the most use. Quite a few folks here in the northeast are running vintage and home-brew AM gear mostly on 75 and 160 meters. The Gonset is a 6 meter transceiver with the matching amp. Most evenings you can find some activity on 6 AM in southern Maine. Once in a while the band will open up and we'll be working stations in the south and the mid-west. You might find this W1VZR design home-brew tuner hanging from the ceiling interesting. The 160 meter ladder line fed dipole attaches directly to the coil with alligator clips which can be moved for different bands as needed. Before it was a ham shack/guest room it was my son's bedroom. The stuffed animals are grandfathered tenants.
