Lets all throw it on an island

Hey, we could give it to a kid with a couple of dollars so he could throw it in someones yard.

Have you seen the devastation caused by human trash waste on small islands and atolls? The plastic on all the beaches? There is no recycling on 3d world small islands. Trash has destroyed them. The only people changing that I see are here in the US and a handful of other 1st world areas. The rest of the world is filled with a plethora of trash.

I believe you are wrong and our method of managing our waste was the best plan available. 'Repugnant'? I find throwing trash in a bin on an island as repugnant. When we leave we leave 'Nothing' behind. I also don't believe there was any invironmental impact on our method.

Broken glass along with metal and aluminum cans at 2,000 feet disintegrate. The small pieces of paper turned into slurry disburses and disappears. Plastic melted in a can and turned into a small puck doesn't end up on a beach or in a landfill on an island turning it to crap. Garbage from leftover food is in fact food for fish and other animals living in the sea.

When traveling along the coast yes, I agree with you. Here we recycle and manage our waste. This was not along the coast.

I like your posts Tom but on this one I believe you're completely wrong. Have you ever seen the way trash and hundreds of burnt areas from burning trash has ruined the San Blas Islands and thousands of small pristine beautiful places? We were never a part of that devastation.

Personal feeling is that anyone who has more than 2 children is 'repugnant', self indulgent and is helping destroy the Earth. All those washing machines, cars, food, housing and flat screens. As an only child with 1 child and a wife with no children we're so far ahead of most others we should get carbon credits. HA, carbon credits, that's a joke.
