() our beaches get tons of trash from the offshore oil rigs. Amazing how many hard hats get washed up on beaches.
Another thing that bothers me big time-I live five blocks away from the ONLY beach you can drive to within 50 miles. It get's PACKED on weekends, and there are county provided garbage cans about every 200 feet along the beach. Yet many will leave, and leave a pile of trash, right where they were parked, 30, 40 feet away from a can. Too damned lazy to walk over and put it in the can. It's against the law to have a glass bottle on the beach, but every week there are quite a few left laying around.
I participate in a beach clean up twice a year along that beach, and we usually FILL two to three BIG dumpsters every time. Lots of slobs in this world.
