so I use the original smaller one connected to my propane system. It cost another hundred bucks or so for the connection hose and fitting but it's a one time cost. Loosing the small portable tanks is well worth it. I use the same rail clamp and hose connections when ever I change the BQ out for a new one. Also, I bought the tripod stand so it can free stand on a table. When ever we take the Jeep out camping I unscrew the BQ from the rail mount (which I leave connected to the rail), unscrew the propane hose from the bottom, toss the BQ in a cardboard box and off we go. I leave the tripod mount, regulator and small tanks with the other camping equipment.
I never thought of it as spinning anything. I use the BQ a lot. After a couple of years it's looking pretty funky. They offer a warranty against that and I buy it. That's a business decision that works for them so they offer it. Everyone's happy.
