I think I found the 2006 posting you were looking at on the SSCA Forum. That was a long time ago and I know Magma got a lot of grief for flames blowing out. I haven't done more than incidental cooking on Magmas since then. On delivery I don't usually cook in the cockpit unless conditions are pretty light. The newer rectangular Magma Newports and Catalinas get much better reviews than their predecessors.

It sounds like you're happy with your choice which is a good thing.

I've had such good experience with my Dickinson (as with my land based Webers before) I'd be hard-pressed to buy anything different without the opportunity to do extended side-by-side comparisons. I do look forward to your feedback over time. Did you get one of the infrared ones?
