Longer ago I had friends living aboard a fity foot ketch in Chula Vista.

I was down to visit them and stayed a few days. The marina they were in was rock jetty and shoreline kinda down in the toe of the bay, I guess you'd say. The water changed so slowly in that area and all those liveaboards pumping gray water into the harbor waters........holy cow. It literally smelled of gray water like dirty mop bucket water left for days in the bucket. When the tide went out there was a gray water "ring around the collar" visible on the jetty/shoreline. I was glad to head for home.
