We learn to cherish the days when the wind blows just right!!

I hope to circumnavigate the Sound this summer in my M/V Jaunty. I've actually sailed the Columbia River, the Sound and surrounds for over forty years. Learned to play the current for apparent wind, day sail 'upstream' in case I can't make headway against the water flow, and make sure the fuel tank is full or the oars are on board.

Photo is from "the old days" on Passage in the lower Columbia, circa 1984. Geezerhood is creeping up on me, hence a M/V at this time. Not sure I'm man enough to do that!
