..that last thirty years of politicoes have stolen the money from SS for the general fund so's the REpublicans AND the DEmocrats could get shit done without appearing to raise taxes. The SS fund itself would be wallering in money save for that.

If the U.S. gummint were to actually collect the money from "we the people" for the wars, the pork, and high living we'd be solvent or be riled up enough to put a stop to that crap. No balls, no chance...Republicans and Democrats alike.
