Personally, I just put myself into the hands of a urologist I trusted, got the biopsy, and had the thing removed. I found out afterwards that the surgery was done by TWO guys that I trusted! Coming up on 10 years now and still <.01 - I guess it worked. And yes, life is different. Not bad, just different.
