Except for one wave that cleared the port veeberth shelf of books, things started to smooth out.

We landed wrong off that wave, with a crashing sound. That was the last bad one I remember.

After finding the best track to steer over and around the waves, I could see on the plotter the boat was headed right for Ptown.

I'm not a big fan of sailing in the much wind and wave but I don't think I ever saw gusts to 30, winds stayed between 15 and 20 for the most part. That's a lot of wind even with reefed sails for me.

I'm happiest when the WP can do the steering which means I have to get sails well trimmed to balance the helm.

Cape Cod Bay owes me a few sails I think, it was about time.
