I wondered about putting vacuum panels in pour in place foam...

The thing is I really don't want to tear up an otherwise good galley to replace all the pour in place foam that PSC originally put in there. Too bad such things are not really "take-apart" repairable.

What I am currently considering is putting some vacuum panels into the existing cold box, on the inside, reducing the volume by an inch or so all around. If I can still get the panels.

Since my system is an older Adler/Barbour R-12 unit, I am thinking of replacing that with the Engal system... the power efficiency is just fantastic.
