Ice is still a big commodity around here with all the boats plus campers and vacationers that want ice in their drinks. We were famous in Rockport with Lily Pond Ice back when schooners hauled it southward. Summer without ice in Maine? That will never be.
I do see the change down toward the cape to the ice quality Larry mentions, but it still does the trick when we're down that way.
