For the entire US in 2010 there were ~32,000 auto related fatalities ..... and only 325 boating related deaths.
Would it not therefore be a better & more optimum usage of and better diversion of LIMITED national wealth to better and more efficiently reduce accidental TRAFFIC deaths within a defined venue of more vivid and rampant destruction of life, wouldnt it?
How about 'bicycle' fatalities, horseback riding, skiing, football, etc.
The increasingly authoritarian nanny-state simply doesnt know nor realize the principal of the 'cost of diminishing returns'.
