See this is the thing that confuses me RE DSC and AIS...

() Mark is talking about DSC functions that I thought were AIS... so apparently the lines are somewhat blurred here on the actual functionality between the technologies... that line seems to be that DSC is sending data only on manual request, whereas AIS is auto polling.

- I purchased an Icom but think the Standard Horizon is better.

- BTW why take an EPIRB... when fish box will do...
