AIS is great to have
In Response To: Anybody have a good read on VHF DSC and AIS? ()
Especially at night or in fog. You can see who, where, speed, COG, and if you have a question you can call the vessel by name.
DSC? Not user-friendly enough to be worth the trouble. It's half-baked technology, IMHO.
