Most of us can't afford to buy a brand new 40 footer for $300,000 plus, but we can afford to buy a vintage 40 foot classic plastic for $80k. Or better yet, buy a 40 foot $20k fixer upper and do it the way you want it with brand new electronics and systems. That's what I did, and Pam and I went to the Annapolis Boat Show to shop for gear, not a boat. We bought two Filter Boss systems, an Electrosense tank monitor, and a few other things.
