15 minutes into the Annapolis show on Friday, I overheard a sales rep asked the question that pretty much says it all...
Nothing a gallon of Spotless-Stainless won't handle
What an ugly boat let me guess...
Good guess... That's a lot of money for a Chinese-built 50-footer...
And, at the opposite end of the spectrum...
I saw those in Rockland. They were my favorite boat at that show.
The S&S 30 was pretty sweet
hopefully his boss is reading this.
Oh . but the sheet routing was very creative - don't ya think? :/
Sad, especially I light of the list of "new" boats in the magazine s
Great seeing you, as always, Steve - thanks again
And you're getting "down there" Morris was at Newport.
I dont go anymore
Last boat show like that I was at was 30 years ago.
Yup... bernie & Kate's Rogue Wave "boat show" had a far more interesting selection...
For a moment, I thought those were pop-up flat screens!
Isn't there something missing from that picture?
The late designer Tom Fexas used to write a column for POWER & MOTORYACHT...
At the St. Pete show
Did anyone see Hank Hinckley's new daysailer?
Hank says that you need another project... (grin)
That boat is named Joy - It is a real beauty
Great Harbor 26
Is this the new daysailer Todd?
Yes that is it ...
If you can afford that boat, you can hire stainless polishers...
It was disappointing
Totally different experience at the Southampton Boat Show recently
I'm told EU sailors prefer smaller sailboat than the US market.
I met the late John Atkisson in Beaufort, NC 5 or 6 years ago...
We've had the same experience
Maybe new boat size will follow new house size in trends.
I hear a lot of talk about small homes but I haven't seen anything new being built
Simon & Garfunkel song about memories: "photographs " (I recall)
Kodachrome was the name of the song.
. Paul Simon only.
Was that tune played on the 'slide guitar'?
Belfast Maine Cohousing...the commune updated!
Wow! Been a while since I've heard about that project.
Okay, Tom: "You are old fashioned." :^)))
No rope, all wire Steve!
Sign of the times...
Classic! +1
Well, there was us in our 25 foot Meridian-grin
Charlie, we just couldn't live on a 25 now that we are older - we had to move up to a 26'
LOL- Don't try to hand ME "older" young fella !
I was at the show for 3 days and didn't go aboard one boat!
They don't bother me either. Daysailers are for people that DON'T want to get somewhere.
The only problem I have with the current crop of expensive daysailers
Those of us in the 47% have plenty of boats to choose from.
We need a GOB type boat show... for the 47%
I agree Gene.
So both you guys are getting free stuff from the government and have a boat?
Gee, I feel entitled to my boat......
I'll be joining the entitled next year . . .
Uh, a retired person's work is never done....
I'm working a lot now that I'm retired

Non sequitur?
Yes, wrong choice of words
don't forget, you didn't make it.
Oops. I did...or am. Here's the boat that got me started on consarn building....
And of course the Jaunty project..upon which I may well have to live when the gummint goes belly up.
That's a beautiful project.
We feel the same about our house...
Depends on what you mean as free stuff...
GREAT idea.....
Should have looked me up
I've heard the comparison to 'Made by Ikea' quite a bit lately.
