• 15 minutes into the Annapolis show on Friday, I overheard a sales rep asked the question that pretty much says it all...
  • Nothing a gallon of Spotless-Stainless won't handle
    • What an ugly boat let me guess...
      • Good guess... That's a lot of money for a Chinese-built 50-footer...
        • And, at the opposite end of the spectrum...
          • I saw those in Rockland. They were my favorite boat at that show.
          • The S&S 30 was pretty sweet

    • I'm told EU sailors prefer smaller sailboat than the US market.
      • I met the late John Atkisson in Beaufort, NC 5 or 6 years ago...
        • We've had the same experience
          • Maybe new boat size will follow new house size in trends.
            • I hear a lot of talk about small homes but I haven't seen anything new being built

    • They don't bother me either. Daysailers are for people that DON'T want to get somewhere.
      • The only problem I have with the current crop of expensive daysailers
