I donno about Dave, but isn't he in retirement and drawing off of SS... which in reality he paid into?
As far as me, back in my college days I drew both GI bill (which at the time was not contributory) and had grants... again which I did not contribute to. My son is currently going to college on a grant. I however work, draw a paycheck and pay a hefty percent into income tax. Percent wise I pay in more than most politicians (actual amount wise is a difference situation). I also pay into SS, unemployment (which I have drawn on in the recent past) and medical deductions, to name a few.
Yeah, I am on a computer... about 10 or more hours a day... designing wireless objects to delight consumers. And from time to time I chat on the net... usually when I have some other process running that I have to wait for.
I am on the cusp of the 53%... ?
Oh BTW I once served in the military... during which I drew full support off of the government teat. I felt quite entitled.
Currently according to WSJ, I am in the top 16%. So can I also be a 47 percenter?
Yes I have a boat, a 1981 small boat; I also have a big screen TV, several bicycles and a house... and a bathtub. In some societies I would be considered rich.
