That could be more of a problem with a small screen. I had to zoom out beyond the full course from Camden to Pulpit Harbor(I set a bearing line between), to make the * disappear. You can see the rock * just SE of East Goose Rocks.

But even beyond when the * disappears, the rock ledge shows as a green land mass. There's no way to make it disappear on my ipad and it looks like their screens are bigger.
