I had the wife at the helm while I rearranged the dingy to the bow prior to backing into our slip. I had the boat throttled well back, and had told her to leave the triangle day marker just to the right. I got things sorted out in time to look up and say 'You're kinda close' when we bounced off the rock - apparently just the side of it. Hey, that's what keels are for! Kinda pleased with myself that I didn't get angry or even cross (that I noticed). Well, now she knows where that rock is! I'll mentally add it to the list of things she's hit, which after all these years is quite short. No complaints - Life is Good!
