In Response To: diesel fuel stabilizer? ()
touched on a little discussed but serious issue of tank corrosion. The recommend a combo of Biobor, Jr. and Starbrite enzyme treatment for diesel. I don't hold with those that add any stabilizer for a short 6 -7 months of inactivity. I do add a cetene and fuel conditioner (FFP brand).

- My understanding of the process includes missing points in your argument
- That's my understanding: water comes from condensation, condensation comes from "breathing".
- The amount of air in the tank has nothing to do with this
- But what about condensation on tank walls?
- Actually the amount of air in the tank is a big factor..

- I add only a fuel conditioner every 40 gallons or so, in my 80 gallon tank.
