I assume that the following happens within the first year: "Consider that tanks containing fuel oil do become *saturated* with water, including water in a separated phase at the bottom of the tank ... all that water entering through the vent which is openly connected to the humid/wet atmosphere."
After that, I think we're only concerned with water in separated phase. No?

- My understanding of the process includes missing points in your argument
- That's my understanding: water comes from condensation, condensation comes from "breathing".
- The amount of air in the tank has nothing to do with this
- But what about condensation on tank walls?
- Actually the amount of air in the tank is a big factor..
