I agree, I think one of the most important features in a dinghy anchor...

...is the ability to have it set on an extremely short scope in an emergency, and no anchor does that better than a Bruce...

I see it all the time in the Bahamas, I'm sure you've seen it as well, people using lightweight Fortress/Guardian danforths in their tenders... One of the biggest risks in a place like that, is being swept by the current out of a cut, or off the shallow banks, into deep water, and the last anchor I'd want to be trying to set in such a situation would be a Danforth - particularly a lightweight...
