I just noticed I had a reef in the main

() After owning a boat for a while you get to know what works. I just noticed I had a reef in the main and was using the MacPac cover to enclose the foot.
I guess that blows some of the concept I mentioned before. I still stick with my preference for a loose footed main for options in sail shape.
Conditions were just on the inside edge of the Gulfstream (lumpy) with 18 knots on a broad reach.
