In this case Cmap uses a USB FOB
In Response To: Our Nobeltec (the old one and the "new-one", after MaxSea) ()
The charts are already loaded on the computers, but they need to be unlocked by inserting the FOB. This allows any computer to use the charts as long as the FOB is inserted. They had two FOB's.
FOB's are a horrible way to manage charts, IMO.
