The SIM card has nothing at all to do with using a phone or tablet for navigational software. Was that usage also restricted?
I don't see why Tom's comment about everyone having a navigation tablet wouldn't also work for these races.

- This navigational error looked typical to me from the start. There is only one thing that still surprises me.
