Yeah, this report in certain respects raises more questions than it answers... Mainly, why on earth were they using the unlocked C-Map instead of the better options available?

However, I do seem to recall very early on in the discussion on Sailing Anarchy, someone who seemed quite familiar with the Expedition routing software mentioning that C-Map was the preferred or 'default' cartography for that program... Just a rather hazy recollection, however, I could be wrong about that...

Well, if I learned nothing else from all this, it's that the purple line surrounding the Cargados Carajos Shoals on that C-Map screenshot indicates the Limit of a Territorial Sea, which presumes the existence of a landmass that it surrounds... I guess the navigator on TEAM VESTAS didn't know that before, either... (grin)
