Livius started sailing young in dinghies, got into racing early. When I was a kid he had a Cal 30 but he moved up to a beautiful, cold molded, Kirby designed 36 footer. Both of those boats were called Robin Hood. As he got older he wanted an easier boat to sail so he bought a Nonsuch 30 which he called Square One, going back to his roots of sailing cat rigged dinghies. He kept racing the Nonsuch for a while and did fairly well. When the Nonsuch became too much for him to handle he bought a power boat that he called Frosty Friday, a nod to his earlier days when he said it would be a cold day in hell before he stepped foot on a cabin cruiser. He was a hard core sailor, lifelong racer, he was a judge for many international sailing competitions and he really enjoyed that Nonsuch.
