We leased our house in SC while cruising 2007-2008. Hired a property management company. It was no problem at all. We even left most of the furniture and that also worked out well. Less wear and tear on the furniture and house from moving in and out and didn't have to pay for storage. The trick is to find a good property manager and be able to trust them to find good tenants.
