Appreciate any and all feedback from you. We're in Beaufort, NC not SC. Yeah, it's looking like going to Bermuda will be either luck or a bailout. Tomorrow we're looking to leave as the window seems there. We'll plot a course mostly E abeam of the wind as much as we can then veer S when we have to. Right now it all looks good. I guess the Bahamas would be a 3rd bailout but we already sold our charts. :)
I've been to the Bahamas so much don't really want to go there again. Although down island we've always taken a pass on. Just not our cruising. We were at Port Antonio years ago and although we loved it then prefer to go some place new. Also to Bequron, PR and the entire S of PR and the DR. So really we're just looking to get to the VI's see some friends, rest, reprovision a little and then head to Cartehenga for the rest of the winter.
However; as slow as we are we may spend to long in the VI's. Spent one winter there years ago and liked it but the changes that have occured I don't think we'll be more fond of it now.
Always interesting the different takes. There is a cruiser here that has mad the trip from here to the VI's every year for the last 8 years and he said this would be the earliest he will have left. Usually he's off a little later. But; well see. We'll take it easy, keep the boat comfortable and see where we end up. First on the list is Bermuda, don't think we'll make that, Second is the VI's think well make that ok, and last is the Bahamas, hope to not make that.
