Maybe I'm missing something in this discussion, but the pilot charts suggest that an early December departure to Bermuda from Beaufort, NC would have a very high likely hood of beam or following winds. What's up? Wouldn't laying Bermuda or some point 100 miles or so SE of the island before turning south and laying Antigua be a good way to get to the Caribbean? Isn't the place you want to be?
