60 mile days are doable but tiring, 40 mile days aren't bad but that's ignoring the kid and dog factor. Last summer we made one 70 mile run from White Head Island to Little Cranberry Island, all under power and 98% pea soup fog. We passed just north of Machais Seal Island without spotting it. The fog scaled back for a short while after we got well past.
