and yes, it does darken the fabric a tiny bit. We have navy blue sunbrella so it's not a big deal for us. Test in an inconspicuous area, as they say.

I couldn't say if repeated folding would have an effect. If yours is like ours and due for replacement soon then we figured we didn't have a lot to lose by try new stuff.
