of all that work. Here are a couple of pics. I should take some pictures of the hardware sometime. All CNC machined stainless knuckles, with PEEK bushings everywhere. The braces self-align with internal springs so that bringing it up is simply a matter of raising it into position, no lining thing up or putting in clevises or anything like that. Lots of work and a mockup went into insuring that the winches can still be operated underneath, the view lines are workable from the helm, etc. I tried to get a bit of a pilothousey type of look when it was up, rather than the starving horse look of most dodgers.

We molded it in tooling built right on the deck to be sure that it fit. Solid carbon rim and 1/2 corecell with carbon skins in the middle:

The finished molding weighs 60 lbs and two people can stand on it:
