I was there, and offshore...it definitely wasn't bad....

Make all the excuses that you want.....offshore, winds were NNE at 20 to 25 (no big deal) (I was there), a big swell running in some 15,000 feet of water was a rolling 10 foot 15 second spaced swell....NW Providence Channel, a MAJOR ocean channel some 10K deep, protected by Great Abaco to the north and Elethuria to the south WAS ONLY some 40 miles away, which in any condition would of provided safe anchorages. I get sick of always making excuses for idiots; if its the uneducated/rich/poor/insane/fat/ex........screw um...an idiot is an idiot.

Radio communications in the Carribbean 1500 worked with daily callins on the SSB morning at 0700 and evenings at 1900hrs. Never did they say that they had any issues except that they were expecting a "joy Ride" which is complete bullshit. There was nothing wrong with the boat....

You're in the fu^#en ocean, in November, 1000 miles from shore. What do you expect, Disneyland and a joyride.
I don't accept excuses.

This was one stupid guy. Just like the woman that drove down the wrong side of the freeway into head-on traffic, killing nice people..
