There wasn't enough depth to easily do it at that time

That was when we first started cruising, a month after leaving Florida. From what I can remember, the decision to go out and then back in was made because of the tide. Everything showed only 6 feet and it was a minus tide. (remembering back now ) It just looked easy, go out, turn left, go a couple of miles and go back in.

Again, from what I can remember it would have been a bit of a trick on the inside, and, it was so easy to go out. Now,,, getting back in a half hour later was fun. A catamaran was behind us and he decided to stay out. Good move.

And,,,,,, that's what I'm talking about,, stupid moves and not having a lot of experience with the local conditions. We're from California. In California you're always on the outside as there is no inside in Southern California. No big deal, go out, come in. We just didn't know.
