Doesn't matter if it's a Mac or PC. Can't expect a Netbook to have all the ports and bells and whistles. If the computer does what you want great, if it's setup somehow to do what you will want; even better. I see more and more cruisers down island with Macs. IMHO it attests to their longevity and lack of issues. On a boat; the most reliable can be critical. If someone wants to carry a couple of extra PC's and then just reconfig on the fly then more power to them. The key is that the computer you have must meet your needs. I will say that in the PC area the external highgain wifi's that plug into the unit seem to run better. But that's about it.
