Unless something changed, Mt. Desert Island is limited to a lower grade cellular level service
In Response To: Todd can you get cellular broadband there? Better than dial-up ()

You have to get to the Western end or Northern side of Penobscot Bay to have a higher wireless speed.
Even then, as Todd says, the cell cervice is touch and go accross Mt. Desert Island.

Paradise has it's price :^)
