On monopolies: I'm pretty sure nearly every company on the planet charges what they believe the market will bear. What exactly are these "monopoly-like powers" you keep mentioning? I won't bother (re)mentioning the differences in market share because you seem to know a lot in that area.

On paying for apps: Again, Windows developers don't charge for their apps? How do they get paid? OF COURSE there's free apps for either platform. OF COURSE there's paid apps for either program. Your personal, anecdotal experience with apps you do (or don't) buy isn't really proof of concept.

On consumer spending: You seem to know an awful lot about the specifics of Apple product purchasers. Where did all that come from? Studies? Websites with data? Experts? Personal speculation?
